Chrysalis Project ("we", "us") is a laser tattoo removal clinic in Edmonton, Alberta. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Contact details such as your name, phone number and email address.
• Booking information such as appointment dates, the services you book and payment records.
• Treatment information you share with us, such as your skin type, relevant health history, tattoo details and treatment notes, so we can treat you safely.
• Photos of the treated area taken to track your progress.
• Messages you send us by email, phone or social media.

Why we collect it

• To book, confirm and manage your appointments.
• To assess whether treatment is right for you and to deliver it safely.
• To track your results from session to session.
• To take payment and keep the records we're required to keep.
• To answer your questions and stay in touch about your care.

We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we ask for your consent when we collect it.

Before and after photos

Progress photos are part of your treatment record. We will never post your photos on our website, Instagram or anywhere else without your separate written consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and we'll remove the photos from our channels going forward.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to run the clinic:

• Square, which handles our online booking and payments. Square's own privacy policy applies to information you enter on their booking page.
• Trusted service providers (for example, our website host) who only use it to provide their service to us.
• When we're required to by law.

Our website

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and may display our latest Instagram posts, so those services may receive basic technical information from your browser, such as your IP address. Booking links take you to Square's website.

How we protect it

We keep paper records secure and limit access to staff who need it. Digital records are stored with reputable, password-protected services. We keep your records only as long as needed for your care and our legal obligations, then destroy them securely.

Your choices

• Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
• Withdraw your consent for any use, subject to legal or record-keeping requirements.
